MIRIAD Intelligence

MIRIAD's AI hub and the MiriadAI cognitive layer, applied to in-house and third-party subsystems (from the onboard runtime of each platform to swarm coordination, under a single command intent).

LYNKS

LYNKS — Logical sYstem for Networked Kernels and Swarms — is the MIRIAD ecosystem's distributed operating suite, designed to control autonomous platforms, coordinate their subsystems, and operate drone swarms on land, at sea and in the air. It's why the same platform serves several missions and the same mission combines several platforms: the orchestration layer is common.

LYNKS combines a control console for command, supervision and platform coordination with LynksOS, the embedded software module that governs sensors, actuators, navigation, communications, power, mobility, payloads and autonomy functions under a common model of secure, real-time execution. LynksOS runs on LynksBrain, the mission computer that concentrates compute, AI acceleration, secure storage, cryptography and the connection to each platform's critical subsystems.

LYNKS runs and orchestrates edge AI algorithms for perception, sensor fusion, state estimation, navigation in degraded environments, threat classification, tactical assistance and distributed coordination. Its architecture captures telemetry, events and mission-relevant data to feed model- and algorithm-improvement cycles without depending on continuous connectivity and with minimal latency.

From the LYNKS control console, swarms are managed, synchronizing platforms, sensors and effectors under a single commander's intent, with tactical cooperation, dynamic reassignment and operational continuity even under low connectivity.

The Miriad ecosystem's intelligence doesn't live in a cloud or a remote data center: it resides on each platform. Perception, sensor fusion, threat classification and navigation decisions execute locally on LynksBrain, with minimal latency and emissions discipline. A Miriad platform keeps seeing, understanding and maneuvering when the link degrades or satellite navigation disappears — and consolidates what it learned with the mission layer once connectivity is restored. On an electromagnetically contested battlefield, a capability that depends on a continuous link is a capability that can be switched off; edge cognition is the architectural answer to that reality.

  • Swarm coordination

On that local foundation, LYNKS coordinates the formation: land, aerial and naval platforms cooperate as a single system under one commander's intent. Tasks are reassigned dynamically — if a node goes down or loses its link, the swarm redistributes its function and the mission continues — and the cooperation extends to manned units (MUM-T), which employ the swarms as organic sensors and effectors. The same pattern scales from subsystem to platform and from section to formation: the operator doesn't manage vehicles, they manage the mission.

  • The cognitive layer · MiriadAI

At the top of the architecture, Miriad is developing MiriadAI, the mission's operating agent: the cognitive layer that reasons over the shared tactical picture, proposes courses of action, coordinates the formation's assets, and explains every recommendation to command. MiriadAI runs on top of LYNKS — the suite executes, the agent reasons — and its first application is as the operating agent of the AIR DEFENCE & C-UAS architecture, where it assists the operator in threat prioritization and effector assignment. A program in development, within Miriad's autonomy doctrine: the agent proposes; human command decides.

Learn more about the autonomy doctrine behind our products:

Cognitive perimeter Autonomy proposes; human command authorizes; a deterministic, certified chain executes. LYNKS coordinates mission, sensors, mobility, payloads and tactical recommendation; weapons employment always crosses a certifiable deterministic chain, with human authorization, outside the cognitive perimeter.

Operation while disconnected LYNKS is designed for distributed edge nodes — embedded platforms, subsystems and components — that operate locally when the link and satellite navigation degrade, with emissions discipline, and consolidate their results as hypotheses at the mission layer once connectivity is restored.

One pattern, every scale The same architecture repeats from subsystem to platform and from platform to formation. It's the technical foundation of this site's thesis: one architecture, every mission.

LYNKS and MiriadAI provide the common command, autonomy and coordination architecture on which every mission of the Miriad family is built.
