SOSTENIMIENTO PROTEGIDO

Protected sustainment & CASEVAC

Resupply, casualty evacuation and equipment recovery over the last tactical stretch, with the vehicle available and crews out of contested ground.

01.Operational problem

Sustaining the force is the battlefield's most repeated task and, today, one of its most punished: routes under permanent observation, ambushes by low-cost drones, and a final logistics stretch traveled under fire. Resupplying a position, evacuating a casualty or recovering a broken-down vehicle forces drivers and medics to be exposed precisely where the threat is greatest. For a century the answer was to armor the transport; today's answer adds the next logical step: taking the crew out of the most lethal stretch as well.

ELEFAS is the family's autonomous protected transport, sharing with HIPPOS the heavy 6×6 platform — e-axle traction, suspension, vehicle electronics and SAIS perception — in remote or autonomous operation. Its main role is sustaining the force over the last tactical stretch — resupplying ammunition and material, casualty evacuation (CASEVAC) and equipment recovery — along the highest-risk routes, with the vehicle available and without exposing drivers or medics; on the same hull it also supports protected personnel transport when the situation requires it.

  • ELEFAS

Autonomous protected transport (2.60 × 6.75 × 2.25 m · 20–22 T), a heavy 6×6 platform shared with HIPPOS: resupply, CASEVAC and equipment recovery on the last tactical leg, with personnel transport as an additional capability. SAIS perception, under remote or autonomous operation.

  • SAIS 360°

Perimeter perception while on the move.

03.Operational architecture

  1. DETECT

    Route and threat

Route and threat perception in a degraded environment, with permanent perimeter awareness.

  2. Decide

    Supervised convoy

Supervised autonomous navigation and integration into a mixed convoy over the C2 link; route replanning in response to a threat.

  3. Act

    Resupply, evacuate, recover

Resupply, casualty evacuation (CASEVAC) and equipment recovery on the last stretch, with continuous logistics rotation and personnel transport when required.

Closes the top of the family's dimensional ladder.

Shares its hull architecture with HIPPOS. The doctrinal argument — taking people out of the most exposed task — is the logistics mirror of Fire Support.
