Miriad Global integrates Insyte to further strengthen its industrial capabilities

Insyte joins the Miriad group and strengthens its capabilities in electronics, precision manufacturing and industrial integration for the development of autonomous defence systems.

The transaction strengthens Miriad Global’s industrial model, which brings together in- house research, engineering, manufacturing and electronics in Spain to meet the demand for greater sovereign technology and industrial capacity.

Insyte will keep its brand in civil markets, where it is well established in sectors such as rail and aeronautics. In defence, it will become part of the group’s industrial offering as Miriad Electronics.

Madrid, 29 April 2026. – Miriad Global, a Spanish defence industrial group specialising in the manufacture of unmanned systems, advanced subsystems and industrial integration, has brought Insyte into the group to strengthen its production capacity in Spain in electronics, mission-critical systems and onboard artificial intelligence.

Insyte brings almost 40 years of experience in electronics manufacturing and integration, working with tier-1 companies in defence, aeronautics, rail and naval. Over that time it has taken part in major civil and military programmes. This allows Miriad to strengthen top-tier industrial capabilities in Spain in traceability, testing, certification, industrialisation and production of complex subsystems.

With the addition of Insyte, Miriad Global moves forward in building an industrial model that brings together design, engineering, software, manufacturing, integration and the production of subsystems and electronics in Spain. This approach strengthens national industrial and technological capabilities to meet the requirements of national and European defence and civil programmes, for both complete systems and critical subsystems for third parties.

Founded in 1987 by Eduardo Rodríguez Piedrabuena, Insyte is headquartered in a 4,400 m2 plant in Getafe and employs around 60 people. Raquel Rodríguez represents the company’s second generation. An electronics engineer from Saint Louis University with an MBA from IE, she joins Miriad as Managing Director of Electronics. She will be responsible for the current plant and for developing a new one, planned to turn Getafe into a leading hub for mission electronics.

Antonio Navarro, Executive Chairman of Miriad Global, places this integration within the group’s growth strategy. “Insyte brings experience and a technical culture that fit naturally with what we are building. Raquel and her team strengthen our capabilities in electronics and industrialisation. They also give us greater strength to bring to market onboard artificial intelligence systems, mission computers, electronic warfare and signals intelligence solutions, and control electronics,” he said. He also added that “Miriad Global intends to keep adding industrial capabilities that strengthen our long-term position in defence”.

Eduardo Rodríguez, Chairman of Insyte, describes the agreement as a natural step in the company’s evolution. “Joining Miriad Global allows us to give continuity and greater reach to an industrial capability built over four decades. We are becoming part of a solid project with industrial ambition and a commitment to serving civil and defence programmes. At the same time, we remain committed to our customers, our team and the production base we have developed in Getafe,” he said. Insyte will keep its brand and continue its activity in the civil markets where it already operates. In defence, its industrial capacity will become part of the group’s offering as Miriad Electronics. This will strengthen its position in mission computers, control electronics and subsystems for signals intelligence and electronic protection, which are increasingly important areas in European defence programmes.

About Miriad

Miriad Global is a Spanish defence industrial group, majority-owned by Funditec, specialising in unmanned systems, advanced subsystems, electronics and industrial integration. It has its own technology and industrial capabilities in design, engineering, software, manufacturing and integration. It applies them both to the development of complete systems and to the supply of critical subsystems and electronics to third parties in national and European defence programmes. With centres in Madrid, Málaga and San Fernando de Henares, and industrial agreements in Catalonia and the Basque Country, its activity focuses on land, air and naval autonomous platforms. It also covers onboard artificial intelligence, mission computers, control electronics and other mission-critical systems. Its industrial model is based on the progressive integration of complementary production and technology capabilities. The aim is to strengthen an industrial and technological base in Spain with a real capacity to deliver major defence programmes.
